OGR Studios
Brand Identity & Motion

OGR Studios is a media production company working across short films, music videos and digital content. Ahead of its launch, the studio needed an identity that felt simple and professional while still having enough character to be recognised on its own. The project focused on creating a geometric logo system that could work across both static and motion applications.

The identity is built directly from the O, G and R initials, reducing each letter into a set of simple geometric forms. Circles, negative space and repeated proportions create a mark that feels structured at first glance, while the individual letters reveal themselves through the composition.

Logo Animation
The animation builds on the idea behind the mark rather than simply revealing the logo. The lower circle of the ‘G’ clicks twice like a camera shutter, with the movement timed to the sound design and music. It gives the geometric identity a subtle connection to filmmaking while adding a recognisable moment of personality to the brand.

Challenge
Challenge
Create an identity for a new production studio that feels clean and professional without becoming another generic wordmark. It needed to work as a complete studio name, but also have a recognisable symbol that could stand on its own.

Approach
Approach
I started with the initials OGR and reduced them to simple geometric forms, using circles, negative space and shared proportions to create a mark that could work both as a symbol and a full studio lockup. For the motion identity, I looked for a way to connect those abstract forms back to the studio itself. The lower circle of the ‘G’ became the focal point, clicking twice like a camera shutter. The movement was then synchronised with sound and music, turning a small part of the static mark into a visual reference to filmmaking.

Outcome
The final identity gives OGR Studios a simple geometric mark with a second layer of meaning revealed through motion. Static, it works as a clean studio identity. In animation, the camera-inspired interaction gives it a character that connects directly to the work OGR creates.
