The film started as an exercise in capturing London with a more deliberate eye. Rather than building around a traditional story, I planned the piece around locations, compositions and moments of movement, looking for ways to frame familiar parts of the city from a more cinematic perspective. The shoot relied largely on the city as it was, working with natural light, architecture, crowds and whatever was happening within each location. The final story came together in the edit. I used clean cuts, changes in scale and movement between shots to create the pacing, with minimal typography adding context without taking attention away from the footage. Music, sound and colour were then used to bring the different locations together as one short portrait of the city.
